The Hitachi SP14Q009 is a 5.7-inch F-STN (Film-compensated Super Twisted Nematic) LCD module widely used in industrial and professional equipment. It features a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels (QVGA) with a 4:3 aspect ratio, providing clear and stable monochrome output ideal for text and simple graphics. The display operates in transmissive, negative mode, delivering high contrast and excellent readability even in demanding environments.

In terms of optical performance, the panel offers a typical brightness of around 150 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of approximately 10–12:1, ensuring clear visibility of data and interface elements. It uses F-STN technology, which improves contrast and viewing clarity compared to standard STN displays.

The module utilizes a 4-bit parallel data interface and includes an integrated controller, simplifying system integration and reducing the need for external control circuitry. It operates with a logic voltage range of approximately 3.0V to 5.5V, making it compatible with various embedded systems and industrial controllers.

For illumination, the display is equipped with a CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) backlight, offering a long operational life of up to 50,000 hours, ensuring durability in continuous-use applications.

Mechanically, the module has dimensions of approximately 167 × 109 × 10–11 mm, with an active display area of about 115.17 × 86.37 mm. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +50°C, making it suitable for controlled industrial environments.
